Addiction Prevention Panel” Held at Atayalvaç SHMYO

A comprehensive panel addressing addiction issues that threaten public health was held at our School. The event, moderated by Sociologist Dr. Selameddin Baysal, was attended by many students and staff.

The speakers at the panel were Yalvaç Chief Public Prosecutor Mr. Ayhan Yenilmez, Probation Director Mr. Şuayip Uğuz, Narcotics Crime Department representative Mr. Engin Çağlar and Isparta Governorship BAMKOM (Provincial Addiction Prevention Coordination Board) representative Mr. Mustafa Güngör.

In addition to substance addiction, alcohol, smoking, technology and social media addiction were discussed in all their dimensions. The experts shared technical information on the legal processes of combating addiction, its social effects and ways of protection.

The panel ended after questions from participants were answered.
