Atayalvaç SHMYO Management Visits Yalvaç Municipality for Educational Cooperation and New Projects
The management of SDÜ Atayalvaç Vocational School of Health Services visited Yalvaç Mayor Mustafa Kodal at his office as part of efforts to improve educational quality and strengthen strategic partnerships with local government. At the meeting, held in line with the goals of quality assurance and social contribution in higher education, concrete decisions were made on university–local government integration.
One of the main agenda items was the 3+1 education model, which focuses on quality in vocational education. Cooperation models with the municipality to help students gain sector experience were discussed. In this context, it was decided to establish a “Practice Simulation Course Area” on campus to improve the practical skills of First and Emergency Aid Program students. The design process for this area has been launched with municipal architect Abdullah Çiftci, and it will allow students to carry out field simulations under conditions as close to reality as possible.
New programs planned to be opened in line with the strategic plans of the university and the municipality, and their contributions to the district, were evaluated. In addition, technical views were exchanged on accommodation, one of students’ most basic needs, including the municipality’s dormitory preparations targeted for 2027 and the social facility and sports complex areas to be added to the campus.
The success of the health event held during the past Ramadan at Yalvaç’s Anlatan Square, which attracted great public interest, was highlighted, and it was agreed that similar education, health and social responsibility projects should be continued on a regular basis.
The visit, led by Atayalvaç SHMYO Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Zehra Üstün, was attended by Deputy Directors Lecturer Kubilay Güngörer and Lecturer Dr. Handan Çağlar Bilgi, and Adjunct Lecturer Mustafa Kutlu. We thank Yalvaç Mayor Mr. Mustafa Kodal and his team for their strong support for our education and practical training processes and for their kind hospitality.
