Health Week Nursing Home Visit
As the SDÜ Atayalvaç Vocational School of Health Services, we conducted a visit to the nursing home in our district with our Physiotherapy and Emergency and First Aid program students on April 9, 2025. The event was planned as part of the Health Week from April 7-13 and was implemented within the framework of our community contribution activities.
The visit facilitated the coming together of our younger generation students with individuals from the older age group, contributing to the strengthening of intergenerational interaction. During the one-on-one conversations with the residents, both holiday greetings were exchanged and observations and ideas about the social, physical, and emotional needs of the elderly were discussed.
During the visit, by listening to the expectations and suggestions of the institution's management and residents, constructive feedback was received for similar activities to be conducted in the future. These discussions contributed to the development of our students' communication skills and social awareness and supported our school's mission of regional community contribution.
As Atayalvaç Vocational School of Health Services, we aim not only to provide professional knowledge and skills but also to nurture our students as individuals who are integrated with society, sensitive, and possess a sense of social responsibility.
