Students at Atayalvaç SHMYO Discover Youth Opportunities in Yalvaç
The “What Can I Do in Yalvaç?” talk organized by the Atayalvaç Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Career Representation Office was successfully held on October 2, 2025, at the Atayalvaç SHMYO Conference Hall with the participation of Yalvaç Youth Center instructors, faculty members, and students.
Approximately 60–70 students attended the event. Participants rated the timing suitability of the event at 4.1 out of 5, its duration at 3.97, content relevance at 4, and their overall satisfaction at 4.07. Moreover, 76.7% of students stated that they would like to see similar activities organized in the future.
During the presentation delivered by the Yalvaç Youth Center educators, participants were introduced to the center’s social, cultural, sports, and personal development programs. Detailed information was shared about various courses, seminars, volunteer projects, and workshops offered by the center.
Throughout the session, students actively participated by asking questions and engaging in discussions. They had the opportunity to receive direct information about activities tailored to their personal interests. Feedback revealed that the event was found to be informative, motivating, and guiding, and such collaborations were seen as significantly contributing to students’ social adaptation and personal growth.
Faculty members Dr. Hüsamettin Koçak, Lect. Kubilay Güngörer, and Dr. Handan Çağlar Bilgi also attended the event. The 45-minute session not only supported new students’ adaptation to university life but also enhanced their awareness of the youth opportunities available in Yalvaç.
Through this event, students gained valuable insight into new programs and activities that can enrich their university experience and help shape their personal and professional development goals.
