As SDÜ Atayalvaç Vocational School of Health Services, we visited a nursing home in our district on April 9, 2025, with students from the Physiotherapy and First and Emergency Aid program. The event was planned as part of Health Week, April 7-13, and implemented as part of our community contribution activities.
The visit contributed to strengthening intergenerational interaction by bringing together our younger students and older adults. One-on-one conversations with residents included holiday greetings and an exchange of observations and ideas about the social, physical, and emotional needs of older adults.
During the visit, we listened to the expectations and suggestions of the institution's management and residents, and received constructive feedback for similar future events. These meetings not only contributed to the development of our students' communication skills and social awareness, but also supported our school's regional community contribution mission.
At Atayalvaç Vocational School of Health Services, we aim not only to provide professional knowledge and skills but also to develop our students as compassionate and socially responsible individuals who are integrated into society. (Evidence)
As part of the SİBERAY Project, conducted in collaboration with the Department of Combating Cybercrime, Atayalvaç School of Health Services organized an informational event for our students focusing on cybersecurity, technology addiction, and safe internet use. It also served to raise awareness among young people about cyber risks, in line with our understanding of social responsibility.
